New year, new hunting season at Barbone. For the third year in a row the challenge open to all TFC readers, social followers and just viewers of the youtube channel continues. When I launched this challenge in 2022, I did not think it would continue for so long, In the course of 2024 only one user stole my place, too bad, however, that he then went into hiding and thus could not finish the video of his business class experience in my seat. More than 100 people stopped me at the airport, though, but without being able to steal my seat.

It is not a hoax, so many have written about my initiative. From ANSA a several local newspapers, I was interviewed on different radio stations and national newspapers.
What is bum hunting
The idea is simple if you pass me at the airport you have a chance to steal my seat, every week in the Saturday newsletter I say which airports I will be in for the next few days, and on social media I throw out lots of clues when I arrive at the airport. However, there are operational rules that cannot be changed at will and they are:
- We must be on the same flight, on the same day, from the same airport
- You have to "catch me" before I get to the gate
- You cannot change your destination, you cannot board with my ticket on a flight other than where I am
- We board together, then switch places
Requirements to participate in the bum hunt
Did you get your flight cancelled, miss your connection, land late?
You could get up to 600€ compensation per person
You must find me in the airport: from the check-in area to the lounge, from the restroom to the duty free, everything applies. The important thing is that you tell me "Hey Barbone I want your seat" before I get to the gate for boarding and the reason is simple, at that time it would be like when you go to easy fishing, if they are in line for the same flight as you are, it would be too easy.
To complete the theft you have two options:
- Show me any of the TFC-branded gadgets. Which you can buy from our online shop with proceeds being donated in part to Flying Angels
- Be Diamond subscriber to our youtube channel for at least one day (this is because it's not worth subscribing to, after seeing me!!!)
If you steal my place you have to agree to end up in one of my videos, we will do a couple of minutes of before boarding and as many at the end, as you see above.
