Etihad still growing on Milan-Malpensa. As told by our Matteo Legnani, If during the current winter season (and also in summer '25) there will be 14 weekly flights between MXP and Abu Dhabi, as of As of October 1, 2025, there will be 18 routes operated by EY every week.

In the days of Monday, Wednesday, Friday e Sunday, in fact, to flights EY82 and EY80 - which depart in the morning and late evening, respectively - a third will be added. The EY88 connection will take off from the Malpensa Airport in the afternoon, at 4:25 p.m., and will land at the Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport at 00:25 the following day (local time); on the reverse leg, however, EY87 will leave AUH at 09:10 am and arrive at MXP at 13:05 pm (local time).
The afternoon and evening flights will be operated with Boeing 787-9s by Etihad: the configuration is in two classes, business (with 32 or 28 seats, depending on the type of outfitting) and economy (271 or 262 seats).
On the contrary, EY82 flight departing in the morning, will be operated by B787-10, a roomier version of the Dreamliner: again, the layout includes only two classes, business with 32 seats and economy with 304 seats.
Etihad, in addition to Milan-Malpensa, also serves another Italian airport-Rome-Fiumicino. There are two flights a day to and from the Italian capital, with departures from FCO at 09:55 and 21:25, and from Abu Dhabi at 02:30 and 14:25. Connections to and from Rome are operated with both Boeing 777-300ERs and B787-10s.
