It took months of work, but now the Lufthansa lounge has finally reopened at London Heathrow's T2. This is no small piece of news for Italian passengers who may find themselves in this terminal often in light of ITA's entry into the German group's galaxy.
Lufthansa's new lounge at London Heathrow
In this article:
This is the largest and most important lounge for the German group outside Germany. The lounge was not ugly, or old, but It definitely needed a makeover also to keep up with the new aesthetic course that will result in LH also having Allegris lounges and not just cabins with that name.

I have already visited the first lounge of the new course, the one in Newark, here I would say. we are in a middle ground and it may well fit since the more than 1,500sq.m. of this room is designed for the thousands of passengers who board one of the group's 360 flights each week, the second-largest number of slots at LHR.
"The elegantly renovated lounge boasts a sleek, modern design, with significant improvements to flooring, lighting, and furnishings. Work spaces have been rethought with the addition of chain curtains to improve zoning and privacy. In the Business area of the lounge, highlights include two private phone booths with improved wall panels for better acoustics. The Senator section of the lounge also saw significant improvements, with redesigned workspaces, improved seating and a new design of locally inspired elements and decorations."
Thus Sven Thaler, senior director sales Northern Europe.

In London, as I recounted in my review, there are two lounges. The largest part of the hall is dedicated to business passengers, but status travelers instead are pampered even more in the Senate Lounge.

In this part, where you enter after re-scanning your boarding pass and only if you have Senator or Gold Star Alliance status, the decor is more elegant and reminiscent of the lounge in New Jersey.
Every year, LH specifies in a Twitter post, More than half a million passengers enter this lounge, means almost 1,500 people a day, and that is why we are talking about a hall with a capacity of more than 340 visitors.
If ITA returns to Heathrow this will be the lounge

T2 is the Star Alliance terminal at the London airport.. Here are the halls of Singapore Airlines, that of Air Canada and United. This is also the reason why so many users enter this one, which is the first lounge past the controls and the easiest to get to.
Given that today the Italian airline no longer has slots at this airport, it is conceivable to think that LH could give up some of its landing and takeoff rights to connect Rome with the most important of London's airports, and in this case this would be the lounge for all elite and premium passengers aboard ITA aircraft.
