15,000. This amounts to the claim for damages by Ryanair against a passenger who, last April 9, 2024, because of his "inexcusable" and "violent" behavior forced the flight FR7124 (took off from Dublin and headed to Lanzarote) to detour to Porto, causing 160 passengers no small amount of inconvenience and the loss of an entire day's vacation.

The Irish low-cost airline, specifically, just yesterday launched the An action in the Irish Circuit Court, specifying that "it is completely unacceptable for those who work hard to enjoy a trip with family or friends to be robbed of pleasure because of a passenger's disrespect," reads a note from the carrier.
As a spokesperson for FR explained, the figure of 15,000 euros is not accidental: Rather, it reflects the costs Ryanair incurred for all 160 passengers, including miscellaneous expenses and overnight stays in hotel facilities.
Ryanair assumes, therefore, a zero tolerance policy against harassing passengers who not only disrupt but even undermine flight safety: "We hope this action will discourage further disruptive behavior on flights so that passengers and crew can travel in a comfortable and respectful environment", the note concludes.
