After Milan and Rome, Saudia lands in Venice: connections to Riyadh and Jeddah kick off in June

La summer 2025 is getting closer and closer: we are only a handful of weeks away from Sunday, March 30, Day in which aviation summer 'kicks off'. Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has announced several seasonal routes: two of them, in particular, involve our country.

From next June 13 and until August 29, as reported by the aeroroutes portal, Saudia will connect Jeddah e Venice with two flights per week. Departure from the Saudi airport is scheduled at 16:05, while arrival in the Lagoon is scheduled at 20:25; in the reverse route, takeoff from the "Marco Polo" is scheduled at 21:30 and arrival at JED is scheduled at 03:15 (local time).
Two days later, the June 15, connections between Venice and Riyadh: in this case they will be 3 the weekly frequencies. It will depart Riyadh at 16:35 and arrive in Venice at 21:30; on the reverse leg, however, takeoff from VCE is scheduled at 22:25 while arrival in RUH is scheduled for 04:35 (local time). This seasonal connection will run until September 7, 2025.
Both routes will be operated by the Airbus A320-200 present in the Saudi carrier's fleet. The configuration includes two classes, business (of 12 or 20 seats, depending on the layout 2-2) and economy.
Saudia currently has a fleet of 160 aircraft - 37 Airbus A320s, 25 A321s, 34 A330-300s, 4 Boeing 747-400s, 39 B777s and 21 B787 Dreamliners - and fly to 2 destinations in Italy. Specifically, during summer '25, the Saudi airline will fly to Milan-Malpensa (with 3 flights a week from Riyadh and 5 from Jeddah) and Rome-Fiumicino (6 frequencies per week to/from JED and one flight per day to/from Riyadh).
