Not many airlines offer the caviar to their passengers: these include Emirates, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Air France, Korean Air, Japan Airlines and Etihad. And those few that offer this service reserve it only for travelers from first class. The only carrier serving caviar in business class is Qatar, in its beautiful Q Suite; until recently, at least.
In this article:
For the past few weeks, in fact, even Thai Airways - the national airline of Thailand - has begun to Offering caviar to their business class customers. As the company explained on its social profiles, those who fly in Royal Silk Class (this is the name of Thai's biz, ed.) will be able to enjoy - among other things - the Siberian Classic Caviar By Caviar Giaveri. Be careful, though: the carrier has specifically stated that the caviar will be available only on flights departing from Bangkok and headed to Europe (Italy included).
If in the case of Qatar one might have expected the introduction of caviar in business-since QR considers its Q Suite closer to a first-class cabin than a business one-the same cannot be said of Thai Airways: again, this is a great surprise.
Thai connects Bangkok and several European cities on a daily basis: London, Brussels, Paris, Monaco, Frankfurt, Zurich, Copenhagen, Oslo e Stockholm. The company also flies to Italy, in Milan-.Malpensa: The aircraft used on this route is the Boeing 787-8, configured with 22 seats in business class and 234 in economy. Compared with what is found on the more grades 787-9 and on some of the Airbus A350s in Thai's force, the B787-8 business class has a 2-2-2 layout, which is obviously detrimental in terms of privacy, personal space and access to the corridor.
