Traveling a lot and well is good, but eating well when traveling is even more so. Especially aboard a short- and medium-haul flight. For this, starting next week, February 26, Lufthansa proposes new meals, of quality, in Business Class.
In this article:
Travelers will be able to find a wide choice of hot and cold dishes, appetizers, main courses and desserts prepared with selected, high-quality ingredients from all over Europe. The new menu, designed specifically to satisfy the tastes of increasingly demanding customers, is prepared by the celebrity chef Johann Lafer, by Lufthansa's culinary team and catering partner Gate Gourmet.
What then to expect? On Routes with a flight duration of about two hours, Lufthansa passengers will certainly be able to choose from a wider range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cold dishes. While on longer routes, With a flight of three hours or more, you will be able to choose from three hot dishes instead of the previous two.

The new Pre-Select
But the novelty of novelties is the option "Pre-Select": for flights of duration of more than two hours, those who wish can pre-order one's menu before the flight, from home, free of charge.
It is therefore possible to Pre-order a selection of up to nine hot dishes. This allows travelers to enjoy a wider choice of meals and "at the same time supports optimized planning, which promotes a more sustainable use of food," as the German company explains.
La possibility of pre-ordering meals is already offered on flights SWISS and is also planned for Austrian Airlines. And from February 26 it will also be possible on Lufthansa flights.
