If last year, when it was reopened, relatively few companies were flying to and from the airport of Salerno - "Amalfi Coast", this year the number of carriers (and routes served) is definitely higher. We start with the news. From May 22 Next, British Airways will connect Salerno and theLondon-Gatwick Airport: will be 3 the weekly flights, every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

On Mondays, departure from Salerno is scheduled at 3:20 p.m. and arrival in Gatwick is scheduled for 6:50 p.m. (local time); on Thursdays, however, departure from QSR will be at 4 p.m. and arrival in GTW at 7:30 p.m. (local time); and finally, on Saturdays, departure from the Amalfi Coast is scheduled for 3:45 p.m., while arrival in London is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. (local time). The route will be operated by the Airbus A320 e A321 BA subsidiary Euroflyer.
And again speaking of the United Kingdom, a few days later - the May 26 - the British low-cost Jet2 will make its debut at the Salerno airport: until the end of September it will connect QSR with Manchester e Birmingham.

Both connections to the two British cities involve one flight per week: the flight from Salerno to Manchester is scheduled every Monday at 12:55 p.m., with arrival scheduled for 3:10 p.m. (local time); the return flight, on the other hand, will take off from Manchester at 08:00 a.m. and land on the Amalfi Coast at 12:05 p.m. The connection to Birmingham, on the other hand, is scheduled every Monday at 11:20 a.m. (with arrival scheduled at 1:25 p.m.); on the reverse leg, takeoff from Birmingham will be at 06:30 a.m. and will arrive at QSR at 10:30 a.m. (local time); it will be the Boeing 737 To operate both routes.
From June 20, and until October 24, then - as we reported recently in these pages - the link will be active Salerno-Paris, operated by Vueling 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). From July 3 to Oct. 25, in addition, Vueling will fly from Salerno to Barcelona: in this case the frequencies will be Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

On Mondays it will depart QSR at 3:25 p.m. and arrive in BCN at 5:30 p.m., while on Thursdays and Saturdays takeoff from the Amalfi Coast airport is scheduled at 2:50 p.m., and arrival at El Prat is scheduled for 4:55 p.m. Both flights, which are already on sale, will be operated with the A320 family aircraft of Airbuses in Vueling's fleet.

On the same day, July 3, also SAS will land in Salerno: Until August 7, a WEEKLY LINK with Oslo. After British Airways, SAS will be the second legacy carrier to serve the "Amalfi Coast" airport.
