I security video are nothing short of crucial for airlines. Not only because they show all the procedures to be followed in an emergency, but also because they are an excellent marketing opportunity. Some carriers opt for a no-frills video that gets straight to the point; others also focus on creativity, combining the useful with the enjoyable.

Delta, one of the three major U.S. airlines, has just unveiled its new safety video, which is not only very creative but also definitely special: it is, in fact, a video celebrating the 100 years of the carrier and, not surprisingly, is entitled "A Hundred Years of Safety".
The clip, whose duration is more than 4 1/2 minutes, traces the history of Delta from the 1920s to the present: the 10 main characters, namely pilots and flight attendants, explain the procedures to be adopted in case of an emergency while wearing historical uniforms provided by the Delta Flight Museum. Not only that: the video also shows all the company logos used from the founding - dating back to March 3, 2025 - to today.
"A Hundred Years of Safety," the company explains, will be available on flights starting in April '25. Until then, passengers will continue to watch the previous security video, described by many as "relaxing": the main character is a flight attendant who, in what appears to be a resort, explains to travelers (or perhaps it would be better to say vacationers) all the safety procedures to be followed in flight.

To mark the 100th anniversary, Delta also created a special livery, which was painted into one of the Airbus A321neo aircraft in its fleet; the company announced that during the spring, the 100th anniversary commemorative livery will also be applied in the fuselage of an A350.
