The goal is improving the mobility of Sardinians, but also allow the many tourists to reach the beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea: for this reason, Aeroitalia has increased the number of connections from the airports of Cagliari e Olbia to Rome-Fiumicino e Milan-Linate.

More specifically, as of March 30, the Cagliari-Rome (FCO) route will have. 10 daily frequencies, as opposed to the current 8: two flights will be added, one will take off from CAG at 13:20 and the other at the 18:30; other departures are scheduled at 06:00, 06:50, 07:30, 10:10, 11:10, 15:30, 19:40, 20:30.
The Cagliari-Milan (LIN) route, on the other hand, Will increase from 5 to 7 flights per day: in this case, departing from the Sardinian capital, the frequencies of the 13:50 and of the 18:40. Other flights will take off from CAG at 06:30, 09:20, 11:00, 15:20, 19:50.
News also for Olbia airport: during the summer 2025, Aeroitalia will connect the Costa Smeralda and Linate airports with 6 flights (currently there are 4); in the peak of the summer season, then - between July and August - it will become 8. As far as Olbia-Rome (FCO) is concerned, it will go from. 3 to 5 daily frequencies.
