As is always the case when a new aircraft model joins a fleet, the company initially chooses mid-range destinations to allow crews to familiarize with the new 'machine'. The first long-haul flight, however, will take off on the May 15 to Las Vegas.

The Swiss company ordered, in total, 6 Airbus A350-900s, which will gradually replace the now-defunct A340-300s in the coming years and thus become the fleet flagships.
The first four A350s have been purchased by Latam, so the internal configuration is the one originally chosen by the Brazilian carrier: at the front of the aircraft are the 30 business class armchairs, arranged in 5 rows, with a 2-2-2 layout. Immediately behind, however, we find the 309 economy seats: The first 7 rows (20 to 26) are marketed as "Economy Max," and offer more legroom. In these four aircraft, Edelweiss says, some changes will be made in the layout : the new features should be unveiled to the public by the end of 2025, writes Airways Mag.
