At today's press conference, which saw the official unveiling of Allegris First Class on board Lufthansa Group's A350s, the German airline announced that By summer, the first jumbo, or the queen of the skies, will be renovated with the new cabins, but there is a fairly large though. The redesign will be in two phases.
What Lufthansa's 747/8s look like today
In this article:

Today Lufthansa's Boeing 747/8s are configured with 4 classes.
In the main deck, that is, we have econoy, premium economy, business and the 6 first class seats.

Restyling of Lufthansa's 747s, phase 1

By early summer, Lufthansa will begin restyling the first 747/8, the largest and most modern variant in the LH fleet, as announced today the goal is to renovate the plane starting from the rear.
This means that economy, premium economy seats will be replaced and the new business class cabin will be installed in place of the current one.
The First Class area will not be touched, seats that have the distinction of being positioned in the nose of the Queen of Skies and where passengers in the first two rows can experience sitting in front of the pilot.

Similarly, nothing will change on the upper floor, the thirty seats at this stage will be left, because as is well known the weight of LH's business class facilities does not allow the installation of this product.
Phase two "at a date to be determined"

Completed phase 1, 747s will fly again In this strange setup, half new and half not. First passengers and those sitting on the upper floor will have the same service of those traveling on the A350s, but they will not enjoy the new cabins.

Similarly. LH confirmed that no price differentiation is currently under consideration between those who will travel in the main deck in the new business and those who will travel in the iconic upper deck, where there is no privacy, direct corridor access.
Long live the 747

This news confirms the Lufthansa's willingness to keep in business, at least the 747/8 fleet for much of the next decade, news that we 4-engine lovers can only welcome. On the other hand, however, it will remain to be seen if and when we will see the second phase completed.
No Allegris for A380s
In addition to the 747 in Lufthansa they also have the A380. The weight problem here is even more obvious, since business class is installed all over the second floor.

Here LH only said that during 2026 they will start the restyling also of these cars where a business class will be installed, but it will not be Allegris.
In conclusion
Thought of in 2016 Allegris was supposed to debut in 2020, instead it is now starting to be seen in 2025. The situation with Lufthansa's Jumbos is really paradoxical-the biggest planes are the ones where these cabins (almost) won't be seen.
