Between Nice and Cannes: review of my first Moxy with a pool

When, out of necessity, I found myself forced to sleep in the area. Nice for an infamously timed flight, I was spoiled for choice of hotels near the airport, not only France's second airport is practically in the city center, but it also has a slew of hotels of all chains (Hilton excluded) within walking distance.
In this article:
I, however, was attracted to a Moxy, of which I did not know about, and I opted for this sign even though it is not exactly close to the stopover
Location
Did you get your flight cancelled, miss your connection, land late?
You could get up to 600€ compensation per person
This Moxy is located in Sophia Antopolis, a small village in the very hinterland of Antibes. We are in an ultra-popular area of the French Riviera. Not only we are located between Nice and Cannes, but we are at the exit of Juan Les Pins, for those who do not know it is the Rimini of the French Riviera. So we are in a really interesting area even though this Moxy is strangely located "far away." We are not near the airport or even in the city center.
Reservation
It was a last minute choice and I took advantage of the Moxy-specific promotion that gave away 3 thousand bonus points for each stay in a facility of this chain, in addition to the Global promotion that gave double qualifying nights and 1000 points bonus.
I never eat breakfast at these hotels (not worth the cost or the waiver of bonus points). In a nutshell, with about 115€ of stay, I put almost 6 thousand points in my pocket. Not bad.
Check-in
The trademark of Moxy, a sign born in Italy from a collaboration between Marriott and Ikea, is the reception desk incorporated into the bar counter. To date, only in the beautiful Moxy Williamsburg in New York I did not find this solution.
Paperwork formalities completed in a few minutes and with my chip I headed to the room.
The room
Moxy version 1.0. The classic style of this sign. Basic rooms, no closet, but a wall to hang things on.
Essential bedroom with queen bed, mega TV and armchair incorporated into the headboard.
Even the bathroom is classic Moxy, they are cookie-cutter and I don't mind that at all. I know what to expect and I'm happy for what I pay.
The structure
The heart of the Moxy is in public spaces. And this hotel was no exception. The bar is alive (almost) around the clock.
You can eat at any time, you can drink, you can play or work.
The swimming pool
The surprise was the outdoor pool, which I could also see from my room.
It is not the small pond that is occasionally found in the hotel, but a real outdoor pool with deck chairs and umbrellas.
Above all, there is a bar set up complete with swings in full Moxy's mood.
In conclusion
The French Riviera is a destination that is not at all cheap; this hotel may be the right fit for those who want to make a night of it in Juan Les Pins, but also for those who have a weekend in the area and want free parking, an environment where they can make new friends, and a chance to relax without spending a fortune.
