L'Doha International Airport, the Best of 2024 according to Skytrax ratings, became even bigger (and more beautiful): they were officially new halls D and E inaugurated; through this expansion, DOH aims to increase passenger traffic, reaching 65 million travelers per year.

The opening of the new halls marks the final phase of a transformation journey that began in November 2023 with the opening of theORCHARD, the iconic 6,000-square-meter indoor tropical garden.
Thanks to the new Concorse D and E, the terminal now extends over as much as 842,000 square meters and has 17 more gates (and as many fingers), thanks to which not only operations will be simplified but also the number of bus transfers can be significantly reduced.
Not only more space, but also more comfort. In the new halls D and E there are. 10 new outlets, including stores and restaurants; the airport's commercial space has been expanded by as much as 2,700 square meters.
The expansion project also paid special attention to the sustainability discourse: halls D and E are designed to meet GSAS 4-Star Design & Build certification and with the goal of achieving LEED Gold certification (a rating system that certifies the "greenest" buildings, ed.). To minimize environmental impact, therefore, the following were used. energy-efficient technologies as well as innovative water management solutions. The architecture of the new pavilions, then, ensures that all passengers-regardless of their needs-can enjoy a barrier-free experience.
