This week I visited the AIX Expo, viz. Europe's most important exhibition in the world of aircraft outfitting.
In this article:
For three days in Hamburg the industry's elite showcased the innovations that will be seen installed in aircraft in the coming years, but not only. Among giants such as Airbus, which was presenting its idea of the First Class of the future in its booth, and many other events, such as the new ANA seats produced by Recaro, I also wandered around in search of "made in Italy," and among the many manufacturers present I visited the booth of Geven, a company from Campania specializing in interior configuration.
Frontier's new business will be made in Italy
Frontier is an ultra low-cost, that is, something comparable to our Ryanair, but unlike in Europe in the U.S. even the low-cost carriers have a business product, which is then even called First Class. The Denver-based low-cost airline announced the launch of its new First Class cabin, and chose to do so with an all-Italian style: signing the new premium seats will in fact be. Geven, a Campania-based company among the world leaders in the design and production of aircraft seats and interiors.
The project is part of "The New Frontier" transformation plan, with which the American airline aims to combine high-end comfort, accessibility and rewards dedicated to its most loyal customers. And who better than Italian excellence to bring elegance and quality on board?
Geven and Frontier: Comoda First Class is born.
The name of the new product already says it all: "Comfortable First Class" will be the new standard for first class on all Frontier aircraft. The goal? To offer luxury and comfort without compromising the airline's low-cost DNA.
The new First Class seats will be installed In the first two rows of each plane and promise Extra space, premium materials and a sophisticated aesthetic, all designed to stand the test of time. But the novelty is not just in the design: Frontier will offer free upgrades to members Elite Gold of the Frontier Miles program, making First Class even more accessible to frequent flyers.
Installation of the new seats will begin at the end of 2025, marking an important step in the company's evolutionary journey. The collaboration between Frontier and Geven aims not only to improve the passenger experience, but also to set a new standard in the relationship between luxury and accessibility.

The seat in question, already chosen and installed in aircraft by other companies, combines theefficiency and the comfort: its structure allows for easy maintenance-very important for carriers-and features adjustable headrestas well as of the coffee table integrated. Let's look at some numbers: each seat, which does not recline, is wide between the 46 and 47 centimeters, and has a pitch equal to slightly more than 48 cm.
