Italian travelers for the past few weeks have become Very interested in Lufthansa group lounges, or rather at the Senator Lounges since all premium users, or above, are in fact treated as "seneators" when flying with German group airlines and, Once the transition from Skyteam to Star Alliance is completed. this interest will also broaden when flying with training carriers.
Location
In this article:
The lounge is located in the center of the airport. It doesn't matter T1 or T2, the difference is only at check-in, then past security everyone is under one roof.
The lounge is located near gate A20, on the upper floor. Simply walk up the stairs and down a short corridor.
Access
The receptionist in the center points the way for guests: those traveling in business or holding FQTV status enter to the left; those with Senator, Premium or Executive status have access to Senator.
The lounge
The hall is a large open space, let's just say that the new Allegris lounge stylings are yet to be seen here.
Certainly dominating the scene is the large glass window that runs throughout the lounge, illuminating the entire room with natural light.
Seating is placed along the windows and on either side of the lounge. There is a work area, an area with high tables and some bar tables near the buffet.
The buffet area is separate from the rest, but still in line with what is seen in similar lounges of the German group.
Services
In terms of amenities, there is not much, in fact there is only the smoking room.
Unless you also want to include in the list the newsstand with printed newspapers, a vanished tradition in Italy, but not here. The biggest flaw is the lack of a shower and the decidedly unwelcoming bathrooms.
The terrace
This is without ifs and buts the added value of this lounge.
It's just too bad that in early April it was still in winter mode, otherwise I would definitely have sat outside, even if the day was not the best.
The fact that it is open is still a plus that not many airports can offer.
Food&Beverage
From sweet to savory, from the menu of the day to evergreens. On this Lufthansa Senators hardly disappoint expectations.
Even at the beverage level, nothing is lacking. Above-average quality offerings, with the classic lack of a bartender found in very few lounges in the German group.
In conclusion
A solid certainty serving German FFs, but as of now also passengers with an elite Volare card in their pocket.

Pro
- The terrace
- Gastronomic offerings
Against
- Lack of showers
