Delivered in the July 2008, l'Airbus A380 A6-EDA marked an era. With the serial number MSN011, was the first Superjumbo to ply the skies for Dubai's national carrier. Its maiden flight, the August 1, 2008, linked Dubai (DXB) a New York JFK, opening a new era of comfort and prestige in long-haul air transportation.

During his nearly 12 years of service, the A6-EDA has accomplished. 6,319 flights, reached 62 destinations and carried more than 2.1 million passengers. With 55,863 flight hours accumulated-the equivalent of six and a half years in continuous flight - Has been a symbol of luxury in the skies.
The most popular route? Dubai-Sydney, with well 760 landings. The longest one? Auckland-Dubai, over 14,200 km paths in 16 hours and 39 minutes.

After its retirement in April 2020, the A6-EDA was one of the first three Airbus A380s in the world to be recycled, thanks to the work of Falcon Aircraft Recycling at the airport in Dubai Al Maktoum (DWC). Most of the materials were disposed of responsibly, but some sections of the fuselage were carefully preserved, ready to be turned into authentic collector's items.
Thus were born the Emirates A380 A6-EDA Skin Tags
I had bought myself the one dedicated to Bangkok, because it was precisely the Bangkok/Dubai back in 2008 that had been my first flight aboard the giant of the skies.

In collaboration with Aviationtag, Emirates has created a Limited collection of tags made of metal from the original A6-EDA fuselage. Each tag is Serialized, handcrafted in the United Arab Emirates e accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The following are available only 380 examples for each of the 62 airports served by the aircraft: a total of 23,560 tags worldwide. Each piece is unique and unrepeatable,
