Several readers and members of our community have received the pleasant surprise of a machine change, from an aircraft with the old cabins to the new A350s and 787s made in Allegris. Indeed, Lufthansa has planned the use of its fleet for the winter period, that is, from the end of October until March 2026, and notified passengers booked on the affected flights of the pleasant news.

    Allegris makes its way into the skies and conquers more and more routes: starting Oct. 26, 2025, Lufthansa passengers will be able to fly in Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Class with the highly anticipated new cabin on a record number of intercontinental routes.

    Since its introduction, the new board standard Allegris has redefined comfort and personalization in Lufthansa flights, offering a completely rethought travel experience in all classes.     Added to these is Bengaluru (India), operated three times a week.

    With 10 A350-900s already configured with Allegris. and over half a million passengers already carried, the feedback (according to LH's repeated statements) leaves no doubt: satisfaction close to 100% in each class. But it doesn't end there: during 2025, Allegris will also debut in Frankfurt, thanks to newly delivered Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. and at the beginning of the work of retrofits on Boeing 747-8Is already in the fleet.

    A380, destinations confirmed from Munich

    Superjumbo lovers can sleep soundly: also for winter 25/26, the Airbus A380 will fly from Munich to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Bangkok and Delhi.

    In the rest of the Lufthansa Group, there is no shortage of interesting news. Austrian Airlines Will fly from October to Milan Linate (instead of Malpensa), also, there will be up to two flights a day from Vienna to Bangkok, and Amsterdam will be added to the routes from Innsbruck.

    SWISS waiting to receive the new booths continues to focus on Eastern Europe: Krakow, Cluj-Napoca and Košice also confirmed for winter, while from Zurich the intercontinental connection to Washington D.C. continues. From Geneva, focus on the United Kingdom, Ireland and Scandinavia, serving winter sports enthusiasts.

    Brussels Airlines strengthens its role as African specialist with more flights from Brussels to Lomé, Dakar, Conakry, Monrovia, Accra and Freetown.

    Eurowings expands into long-haul: from November 4, 2025, the flight from Berlin to Abu Dhabi (3 flights per week) will start, while frequencies to Dubai will increase to 11 per week. Dubai will also be served from Hannover (a first), and Jeddah will be accessible from Stuttgart. In Egypt, Marsa Alam debuts from Cologne, Hamburg, and Berlin.

    Discover Airlines introduces Seychelles from Frankfurt, while Punta Cana will be connected directly from Munich, the only non-stop route to the Dominican Republic. Surprisingly, Alta, Norway, also arrives for those seeking the Arctic winter.

    In conclusion

    Winter 2025/2026 marks an important step forward for Lufthansa Group, which is betting on a premium onboard experience and an increasingly rich and extensive network. Allegris is the clear frontrunner, but all the companies in the group are moving in synergy to offer more destinations, more comfort, and more flexibility to passengers. Now only ITA would be missing, or rather the only thing we know is that in the During winter 2025 the new feature will be Mauritius.
