Air France is not among the regular airlines of the Maldives. While many European carriers (including ITA Airways, Austrian Airlines, Condor, Turkish Airlines, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic) serve the archipelago in the Indian Ocean with seasonal flights that depart around the end of October and usually end around the end of March (i.e., roughly the entire duration of Winter), the French company (which began operating on Malé in 2017, 'jumped' for Covid in 2020 and 2021 and returned in 2022, is a rare bird in the skies of the world's most beautiful islands, which it used to frequent only at Christmas time.

Which, is news in these hours, will also do at the turn of 2025 and early 2026, with a twice-weekly flight operating from December 19, 2025 and January 4, 2026.
The route, which will originate from Paris's Charles De Gaulle airport, will be served by a 369-seat Boeing 777-300ER, which is the one without La Première, but with the new cabins of Business Class (48 suites with the sliding door), Premium Economy (48 seats) and Economy (273 seats).
Flights will operate from Paris on Fridays and Sundays with departure at 8:10 p.m. and arrival at 10:05 a.m. the following day. From Malé on Saturdays and Mondays with takeoff at 12:05 p.m. and landing in the Ville Lumière at 7:05 p.m. Convenient and compatible schedules with connections coming from Italy on the outward journey and to Italy on the return.
Obviously flights can also be purchased with miles from the Flying Blue program, but being in the very high season they are nevertheless within reach of significant 'wallets' of miles.

For example, leaving from Milan on December 21 and returning on December 29 (classic Christmas week), as of today 265,000 Flying Blue miles are needed to purchase a round trip in Economy, 544,00 miles in Premium Economy, and 1,241,000 miles in Business. To which must then be added cash taxes (about 230 euros).
As is often the case it may just be a matter of settling in, the route has just been launched and sales are not yet aligned with points, in any case it is a new destination to be monitored at the monthly Flying Blue promotions
