The community of The Flight Club is getting bigger and bigger. When we see the numbers on our YouTube channel, Instagram interactions, posts in the group "secret" Facebook's and the number of people enrolled in the Whatsapp channel we can only be happy; even more so when you send us the Your reviews of flights, hotels, or lounges. In this case a reader - Fabio, whom we thank - takes us to the Marco Polo room, the only lounge in theVenice "Marco Polo" airport.

In this article:

Every year Priority Pass selects some of its most popular user lounges, and for 2025 among the "Lounges of the Year" also features the Venetian of Marco Polo.

Priority Pass Awards: here are the best lounges of 2025. What is it they say? De gustibus...

    Location

La Marco Polo Lounge is the only VIP lounge at the Venice airport. It is located on the second floor of the terminal, after the security checkpoint. Once you pass through, you can go up using either the two escalators or the elevator. The lounge is located right in front of one of the two escalators; if you choose the other, you have to cross the food court briefly.

    Access

The sign at the entrance informs us that access is allowed to holders of Priority Pass, Dragon Pass, Lounge Key e Lounge Pass, but can also be purchased at the door for the price of 50 euro.

Past the reception desk, one walks down a short corridor with a few alcoves equipped with desks with electrical outlets for working quietly with one's computer. You then enter a large open space with a view of the runway, which is visible through a bright glass window that extends throughout the lounge and the two rooms adjoining the main room.

The armchairs along the window have high backs to promote relaxation and enjoy the view. In the center of the open space is thebuffet area, in front of which numerous small tables for conveniently consuming meals or drinks. Around, and in the side rooms, are arranged armchairs and sofas capable of easily seating more than a hundred people. Many, but not all, of the seats are equipped with electrical outlets. One of the side rooms seems designed as an independent room: it has its own self-service for food and drinks And a second set of toilets.

The spaces do not end there: three additional rooms - two with a circular floor plan and one smaller, more private one - open along two corridors. Each can accommodate about 20 people, offering a quieter, more intimate environment. A counter with three tablets is available for Internet browsing; outlets are compatible with European, British, and Siemens standards, as well as USB ports.

There is also a separate room surrounded by greenery, with armchairs arranged among lush plants: from here there is access to a small terrace overlooking the runway.

The rooms are spacious and the decor decent, if heterogeneous: different styles and stages of set-up are noticeable. Sofas and armchairs vary in color and design from area to area (and sometimes even within the same area); the dark parquet flooring in the central open space gives way to a lighter birch tone in the side areas, while carpets and decorations change significantly from area to area.

    Food and beverage

The buffet offers fresh food, well-maintained and continually restocked, although the offerings are not particularly extensive. During my visit (between 3 and 6 p.m.), sandwiches, yeast rolls, rustics, green salad, and apple and pear fruit salad were available, as well as some desserts. Although the bread was very fresh and the rustics pleasantly warm, there was a noticeable absence of a first or second course and even any flour-free offerings; those on a gluten-free or high-protein diet might find few alternatives, but a sign informs that you can contact the staff for specific needs.

There is no actual bar: beyond a low Plexiglas screen, there is only a coffee machine at the far end of the buffet, with no counter for consumption. Access to the refrigerators with beverages is barred by cords, so one has to ask the staff - courteous and helpful - for the desired product.

    In conclusion

The Marco Polo lounge is one space large and quiet, well structured for the relax or work while waiting for a flight. Although the décor shows some unevenness and with some limitations in the food offerings, the environment remains comfortable and pleasant.
