Location
Mazurek lounge is Lot's VIP lounge in the non-Schengen flight area. Once through the controls you must follow the signs and go down the escalators, make a U-turn, and a few steps later you will find the two lounges in this area of the terminal.
Mazurek is LOT's, while Etiuda is the independent one that also serves non-Star Alliance passengers
Access
This lounge is designed for Polish airline passengers and gold Miles&More members, LOT in fact is a Star Alliance member and participates in the same program as all LH carriers.
So those who travel in business and those who have Gold Star Alliance status and obviously fly Star Alliance from this airport can enter.
The lounge
As anticipated in the title, she is tiny, although non-Schengen destinations served by LOT and the other airlines that fly here such as Turkish, are not few. Of course long haul is not infinite, with only eight 787/9s difficult to cover a larger network, however, there are many destinations in the Eurasian area served besides the Middle East.
It is a small open space tastefully furnished, Wood and warm colors dominate, illuminated by the light from the runway. The special feature is precisely that we are on street level, so you have a view of life on the runway as well as the opportunity to admire the planes from an unusual angle.
Past the reception desk is the buffet area, then there are small tables and sofas with a lodge-like decor, complete with a fake fireplace.
Along the entire window runs a table with high stools that allow you to work (what I am doing now) while admiring the runway in the sunset light. In terms of services, it offers little to nothing. There is Wi-fi, bathrooms and showers, and nothing else.
Food & Beverage
There is little space so the offerings are also calibrated accordingly. There is a small central island with some hot offerings and a small cold buffet.
Then there are two areas dedicated to beverages. One dedicated to beverages and the cafeteria.
A second area with integrated counter instead dedicated to spirits, we are in Eastern Europe here breakfast vodka.
It's just too bad that at 8 p.m. with two flights leaving at 11 p.m., the hot offer was dismantled, the same thing that had happened to me in Beijing at Air China lounge, and that is absolutely not good.
In conclusion
A small lounge for a company that is not small. True, there is the lounge on the opposite side of this one, but maybe a few more square meters wouldn't hurt.
