Convenient location, fair price and playful environment: review Moxy Frankfurt East

Hotels in Germany have prees on average much higher than in Italy, certainly if you find yourself traveling in certain cities that, like Milan, at the same time as events and fairs the fares skyrocket to really crazy levels, but it's not the norm as it is in "Germania" as my daughter calls it.
In this article:
The trip to the financial capital of Europe was as a family, and since we had a car, we didn't want to sleep too much downtown, so as not to go crazy with parking.
Reservation
Did you get your flight cancelled, miss your connection, land late?
You could get up to 600€ compensation per person
When we booked we were undecided between Marriott and Hilton, then the American Express promo that was giving away €100 cash back on a €500 spend prompted us to opt for this Moxy.
Obviously you book via app and can pay before or on the spot, either way the cashback is automatically triggered when the threshold is reached.
The three nights cost us €415 for a triple room to which we add 22€ per night for underground car parking and with a breakfast we reached the target of 500€ expenditure and got 100€ automatic reversal. Optimize these Amex Offers allow you to Resetting the American Express Platinum Card fee to zero each year.
Location
We are in an area slightly off-center from the city center, which is perfect for those moving by car. The Autobahn entrance is close and in 8 minutes you are in the center, so it was perfect for our needs in the city. There are restaurants, supermarkets, and even a couple of nightclubs in the area very busy.
For the curious, it is located in front of the Tesla Store in Frankfurt.
Check-in
I lost count of how many nights I stayed in the Moxy and especially how many hotels in this chain I have visited and reviewed. These structures were born out of a collaboration between Marriott and Ikea and have a trademark: in every hotel in the world, minus one in New York, the bar counter is one with reception.
Each hotel then has a similar but different style in terms of space management, but everything that happens in a Moxy revolves around this environment.
Always friendly staff and no possibility of upgrades, also because the rooms are always the same. Nice wheel of fortune at check-in that allows you to win small gifts.
The room
The room is one of the largest I have ever found in a facility in this chain, perhaps even bigger than Bangkok where there are, uniquely, suites. Even there were two small closets, something never seen in a Moxy.
The flaw is that the second bed was actually a kind of "decomposable" sofa, so my daughter found herself sleeping on a surface that was not at all comfortable; at least a topper would have made it more comfortable.
Fortunately, our bed was comfortable and big enough to accommodate us all.
Double TV, but in one room and so small practically useless without considering that there was then only one remote control.
The rooms, like everything else, has a faux-industrial design, all raw and with nods to color with wallpaper and or writing on the walls.
Standard bathroom and average (read nonexistent) in-room amenities.
The view from our room was very romantic, but we were not in the Maldives so one was worth the other.
The structure
In the moxy the elevators are often joyous, if you find yourself passing through here, let me know if you find signs of my passing.
The building has a horseshoe shape and this generated the space to have a small outlet on the outside, renamed Flamingo Aerea
Original is the presence of a barber right in the lobby, 6 days a week, where guests and locals come to get a cut, and if you're wondering no, I didn't take advantage of it, my beard is only touched by a world champion like Federico.
The interior spaces are large; there is an area that is also used for events.
A leisure area as per tradition, micro meeting rooms, and a small gymnasium. In short, the classic Moxy.
Breakfast
I don't eat, almost never breakfast in these hotels because. is not worth the money it costs.
Below-average buffet service at an overpriced price, but since we had to cut 500€ quota and for one night the credit could not be used we paid the last breakfast so as to cross the Amex cashback finish line.
In conclusion
A solid certainty, certainly the no mattress on the second bed takes a point away from the final assessment of an otherwise perfect living room.

Pro
- Large room
- Nice environment
Against
- Zero street parking, only paid parking
