ITA Airways brings A321neo (with super business class and premium eco) to Catania and Palermo: here's when

Some people choose certain routes just for the sake of try it, and those who randomly-perhaps due to a last-minute car change-surprise and find themselves aboard the little gem by ITA Airways. We are referring, evidently, to theAirbus A321neo, one of the single-aisle aircraft with the most 'sexy' in Europe.
In this article:
This is not the first time in these pages that we have written about AZ's 321neo, indeed: we have devoted several articles to this 'iron,' we have reviewed it, and in a video posted on The Flight Club YouTube channel we showed how to fly in one of the very few (if not the only) real business class installed in a narrow-body of a European carrier.
Well, we return to the topic as there is good news for all fans (and curious): ITA Airways, reports the specialized website Aeroroutes, will operate some domestic flights specifically with the A321neo. Specifically, on July 9 and 18, the flights AZ1709 e AZ1710 (respectively the Rome Fiumicino-Catania and the Catania-Rome Fiumicino) will be operated by ITA's little gem. Not only that, on July 4, the A321neo will also fly between Rome-Fiumicino and Palermo (Flights AZ1777 e AZ1782).
Did you get your flight cancelled, miss your connection, land late?
You could get up to 600€ compensation per person
This is not the first time, however, that the Italian airline flies its 321 on a domestic route: last June 13 and 14, for example, A321s flew between FCO and CTA, while on June 17 and 18 they operated two routes between Milan-Linate and Rome-Fiumicino.
Over and over again we have written that it is not a great idea to choose (and pay for) business class on a medium-haul flight in Europe. Why? Trivially because virtually no carrier offers true business class; in this case, however, the argument to be made is quite different. The business class that ITA has chosen to install in its A321neo is crazy: everything-from the armchair (which becomes a bed) to the endowment (with, among other things, a respectable IFE), via the service and for the layout of seats (1-1) - is worthy of business class. But it is not only the biz seats that are appreciated: the "A321neo-mania" is also for the premium economy-the same one installed on the 330neo and 350, ed-which is much liked not only for the personal space but also for the aesthetic finishes.
Some might say "yes, nice, but not worth it...in an hour flight I can't really enjoy this business class." The observation is fair and supportable; however, at the right price one could take the edge off. Just to give an example: on flight AZ1709 Rome-Catania on July 18, the fare "superior classic" costs only €172,84, just 59 euros more (!) than economy. Of course, we are not talking pocket change: considering, however, the product in question, this is a good price for a (real) business class.
Currently they are 7 the Airbus A321neo present in ITA Airways' fleet: as seen on FlightRadar24, are deployed on intra-European routes but also on medium- to long-haul routes to Cairo, Accra, Riyadh, Dubai, Jeddah, and Dakar; when, then, the situation in the Middle East improves, the 321 will start serving the Rome-Tel Aviv route again.
