Air France opens gourmet restaurant on Galeries Lafayette rooftop

Air France is back in the news, this time not in the clouds but with its feet firmly planted--on the roof.

From June 25 to August 2025, the French airline opens the doors of its pop-up restaurant experience on the eighth floor of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, on the famous rooftop with panoramic views of the Ville Lumière.
This is not a first, even last year at the Paris Olympics. had done something similar, and evidently the initiative must have been liked if it returns, indeed if it improves.
Comme à bord
A unique temporary restaurant, where it will be possible to enjoy - comme à bord - the Business Class menus of long-haul flights, signed by stars of French gastronomy: Régis Marcon, 3-star Michelin chef, and Nina Métayer, elected World's Best Pastry Chef in 2023.

Following the success of the 2024 edition hosted at the Palais de Tokyo for the Olympics, Air France relaunches with an equally iconic and even more scenic location: the rooftop of Galeries Lafayette, at 40 Boulevard Haussmann.
The layout recalls the elegance of Air France lounge interiors: navy blue, bright white and touches of red to recreate an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, with only 20 covers per service and a patio with loungers to enjoy the Parisian skyline from the Eiffel Tower to Montmartre.
Business Class menu served ashore
To welcome guests, a dining experience worthy of the finest first-class cabins: appetizer, entrée, main course, cheese selection, and dessert, all served with the same mise en place designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for Air France Business trays.
Chef Marcon's culinary offerings include:
- Camargue tricolor rice with lemon, carrot and orange sauce
- Chicken with morel mushroom sauce, rice pilaf and green asparagus
And vegetarian dishes inspired by the nature of Auvergne, the chef's homeland
For the sweet ending, Nina Métayer proposes:
- Crunchy hazelnut and caramel delight
- Crispy tatin revisited, light but intense in flavors
All accompanied by a selection of wines and champagnes curated by Xavier Thuizat, best sommelier of France 2022 and head sommelier at Hôtel de Crillon. Selected soft drinks are also available.
