The third day of the Paris show e Orders (and options) have arrived for more than 100 new machines.
In this article:
It's not even news, but also today Boeing did not announce any new orders and, at this point, barring any surprises is preparing to dismantle the stands without having collected any new orders.
Obviously these are orders that have been finalized over months and months of work, we are not talking about agreements born at the fair. The fair is only used as a stage to celebrate, on camera, the orders and take advantage of the world's attention and the presence of journalists, TV and industry insiders ready to serve as megaphones.
Airbus continues to receive orders
In these first 3 days, Airbus has exceeded 300 aircraft between ordered and options (which at the moment are only "wishes" to be eventually turned into reality). To have a term of comparison last year in London. the "challenge" ended with 96 aircraft for Boeing, while Airbus brought home a total of 139 orders.

In chronological order was MNG Airlines to put in first signature today. An order for 2 A350Fs, little stuff compared to the 100 cars in one fell swoop like that of vietJet yesterday, but of a paramount importance because the cargo version of the A350 needed to get new orders, and this is the second in Paris for a total of 24 machines ordered.

EGYPTAIR has announced a new order for six Airbus A350-900s, bringing to 16 the total number of aircraft purchased by the Egyptian flag carrier. This is the carrier's second order for this next-generation widebody model, confirming confidence in the A350's performance and efficiency.
"This is the second time EGYPTAIR has ordered the A350, and the decision is a testament to the value this aircraft can deliver," said Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus Executive Vice President Sales for the commercial aircraft business. "The A350 will be a pillar in the company's growth and sustainability strategy, and we look forward to seeing these aircraft contribute to its future success."
Obviously the most profitable orders are for wide-body aircraft, so the 10 new A350/1000s signed by Starlux is very important for the European company.

If you have never heard of this Taiwan-based company, it is normal, it does not fly to Italy, indeed it does not fly to Europe, but it is sure to come sooner or later. Currently STARLUX operates a fleet consisting entirely of Airbus aircraft: 28 aircraft including A350-900, A330neo and A321neo. There are 30 more on the horizon on order, including A350F freighters and top-of-the-line A350-1000s.
"Expanding our international fleet with additional A350-1000s is a crucial step in strengthening our global presence and improving connectivity in key markets," said Glenn Chai, CEO of STARLUX Airlines. "This aircraft combines efficiency, range and comfort, and is perfectly aligned with our strategy to optimize our long-haul operations by offering a premium passenger experience. As we strengthen our international network, the A350-1000 will play a key role in driving growth, sustainability and operational flexibility."
Rich day at Embraer as well

Finally, a reason to celebrate for Embraer as well, the Brazilian company "digesting" the loss of LOT Polish, which chose to focus on A220s, with orders coming in from carriers that are instead focusing heavily on E175s and E190s.

SkyWest, the world's largest operator of Embraer regional jets, signed an order for 60 new E175s, with purchase rights on an additional 50 aircraft. The contract, with a list value of $3.6 billion, expects deliveries to begin in 2027.

Airlink, the leading full-service airline in southern Africa, announced its intention to enrich its fleet with 10 new Embraer E195-E2s, leased through Azorra, an American company specializing in aviation leasing, finance and asset management.
