No Mileage Bargain in June with Miles&More, tomorrow is judgment day: my 3 predictions

The first of every month, for years, is or perhaps it would be better to say. Was the release date of the Meilenschnäppchen, a word hostile to those who do not master German that is translated into Mileage Bargain for all other languages.
In this article:
On June 1, however, as expected, the following were also not published because at this time and until tomorrow, June 3, it will not be possible to issue award tickets or change issued tickets. I have devoted several articles to the upcoming revolution, and I am ready to see what new things M&M will make official tomorrow, also because I remember, this will become the flagship program for Italian frequent flyers during 2026.
Actually, the fact that the page says that "bids for June are paused." is, potentially, good news since it would hint at a willingness to keep the appointment fixed, even once the new award chart is published.
Miles&More award ticket revolution my 3 predictions
- First class will become much more expensive. The advent of Allegris is the attempt, trumpeted to the four winds, to bring Lufthansa to the top of European airlines. Of course there are still many problems, but the die is cast. The new first class is present on only a few planes and it does not look like things will change in the short term, but I foresee a situation where LH will go the way mapped out by the other carriers offering this cabin with the high-priced points. Lufthansa is, without a doubt, theto cheapest first class to be booked with points: 91k M&M was enough today for an F ticket on long haul. Of course even the current product is not competitive with the rest of the competition.
- First class will become reserved for Miles&More members only. The first was Air France, today Premiere with points is only available to passengers with Platinum status. Then came Emirates, which recently cut off those who do not have Skywards status. The same is true with Singapore Airlines, Etihad or Cathay, which do not, except in very rare cases, open up the availability of the best seats to partners.
- Dynamic pricing and monthly offers. I think in Frankfurt they have aimed for the Flying Blue model, which is the best loyalty program in the world and is a real golden goose for Air France KLM. So goodbye fixed award and adoption of a dynamic table although laws in Germany might impose some kind of curb on a monstrous devaluation. The monthly offers could then maintain the same logic, but move to a discounted price of what will become the minimum price.
In conclusion
This month there are no monthly Lufthansa offers, in a little less than 24 hours we will know the new Miles&More award ticket prices and get used to this new reality, let's just hope that in Italy it will become easier to accumulate M&M points otherwise things will get really complicated.
