Shower and in-flight bar on Emirates' A380: everything you need to know

This week's video posted on our YT channel has unleashed viewers and I was inundated with questions about different aspects of what only Emirates offers aboard its giants of the skies.
In this article:
This was not the first video aboard Emirates' A380 on the channel, indeed.
The plane that has made Emirates the undisputed star of the world's skies has, rightly, had a constant presence since the early days of our channel.
All my reviews of Emirates' A380s
The first video we published had been the Comparison of Emirates' economy and ITA Airways' economy, as far back as 2023 When AZ was still flying from Malpensa.. Then had come the first time of the First Class on the A380, from New York to Malpensa..
A few months later, With Marika we had tried the cheapest route in F aboard Emirates' A380, which is the Bangkok/Hong Kong and return that had also been an opportunity to Show what happens on board when everyone gets off. I had also posted a video dedicated to the economy on my favorite route: Dubai/Nice.
I am answering the questions I have been asked in recent hours about shower and bar on board Emirates

The first thing to know is that of the two, actually three, aircraft models in the fleet at Emirates these "optional extras" are found exclusively on the upper deck of the A380. This is also why for the same price it is always better to fly on the world's largest aero.

Bar is for everyone, shower only for first class.
The two toilets, which are larger than the bathrooms normally found in a Moxy, are located upstairs at the front of the plane.

They are two mirrored bathrooms, heated floor, hair and makeup area, toilet and of course the shower. On board each flight there is a specific attendant to manage these two restrooms, we are not talking about a cabin attendant, but an actual housekeeping attendant.

Passengers can book the use of the shower, while if you need to go to the bathroom you can do so in complete autonomy and following your own physiological needs.

When you decide to use the on-board spa each passenger is provided with all the necessary materials (towels, hair dryer, personal hygiene kit..).

Curious that Emirates specifies that the maximum capacity of the bathrooms is two people, so If you are traveling as a couple, don't be shy.

One has 25minutes in the bath and 5minutes of running water.

As in any shower can then open and close the faucet, here operated via an electronic control panel, which also shows the remaining time available.
The bar is on the opposite side of the plane, still on the upper floor. There are different configurations, but what changes are only the details such as the presence of a side table or the different abat jour.

It opens as soon as cruise altitude is reached and closes when preparing for landing.

The question I have been asked most is whether or not one should, or should not, pay. The answer is obviously no, everything is included, we are not on a low-cost, on board you don't pay anything. It applies to economy, let alone business or first.

If you are an F passenger you can ask to drink from your wine list because the basic business class proposal is served.

Also because for first class passengers there would be a small dedicated galley.

Of course exclusive, but you want to put it, goofing off at the bar has a whole different effect.
An easy ticket to book with points
If you dream of having this experience I can guarantee you that it is, perhaps, the easiest ever to book with points. Indeed with the current promotion For new customers who become American Express Platinum Cardholders. is a piece of cake.
Sure you can no longer book the first class ticket directly, but you can always use the points to upgrade from economy to business and/or from business to first class, again Emirates is the most transparent about immediate upgrades.
