This news, probably, will not appeal to more than a couple of TFC readers.
In this article:
Singapore Airlines redesigned its deployment of A380s for the end of the 2026 winter season, which is between January and April next year.
No more A380 in Frankfurt
In 2022 I had a chance to fly Frankfurt to New York aboard the A380 Suite.. My first video on the YT channel, when TFC was still a small bet and there were not even 1,000 followers spread across the various profiles.
Then the decision to change the car and the downgrade from A380 to 777/300, still set up in 4 classes, but definitely less wow at the First Class level.

Now the news, reported by Mainly Miles, that starting Jan. 16, A380s connecting Europe's economic capital to the Asian city-state each day will be diverted elsewhere. This means that two of the 3 daily flights SQ26 and SQ326. will be operated with the 777/300, which is the aircraft where Singapore Airlines offers first class, while the SQ330 flight will continue to be carried out with the A350 set up in three classes.
A completely different First Class experience
On the upper floor of the A380 are 6 First Class Suites, rows 1/2 can also be joined and become a micro apartment complete with a double bed.
Needless to say, if you have booked that ticket. one can only be sad, but the company is not required to refund or cancel anything, since no carrier guarantees the car, only the class of travel.
The business class experience is also different and economy, but certainly significantly less net trauma since otherwise the products on all SQ aircraft are very similar.
The downside will be happiness in those who had instead booked first class from Singapore to Auckland, because the A380s removed from Frankfurt will fly to New Zealand.
In conclusion

Now all that remains to be seen is whether the change is temporary and by summer 2026 SQ will put the A380 back, or whether to fly to Europe on the super Jumbo one will have to, perforce, fly from London.
