A new chapter for SWISS and European aviation officially takes flight from Toulouse. The Swiss airline's first Airbus A350-900 has just rolled out of the Airbus hangar., embellished with a unique livery called "SWISS Wanderlust" that celebrates the spirit of travel and Swiss identity with never-before-seen technology.

A few months after the announcement this is how the sketches became a true work of art on the fuselage of the most modern commercial aircraft in service in the world today.

This is not a simple paint job: the aircraft is the first in the world to sport a decoration made entirely from precision adhesive films, a pioneering technique that enables sharper details, lower environmental impact and easier maintenance over time. This approach represents a breakthrough for the aviation industry in terms of innovation and sustainability.
The "Wanderlust" livery is a tribute to Switzerland, with motifs inspired by the country's natural beauty and the unmistakable SWISS graphic style, already synonymous with quality and rigor. The final effect is spectacular: a fuselage that visually tells the DNA of an entire nation ready to travel the world.
A small note of color: in the special livery, whose name is "SWISS Wanderlust," we find not only the elements that distinguish Switzerland - such as the Alps, skis, the marmot and various monuments, just to name a few - but also Freddy Mercury. Well, yes: the legendary frontman of Queen is also present, who loved Switzerland very much, and especially Montreux, the city in which Mountain Studios, the group's recording studios, were located.

But the surprises do not end there. This A350-900 is also the first aircraft in the SWISS fleet to feature the new Senses booths, a completely revamped concept to enhance passenger comfort and onboard experience in every class. From the new Business Class to Premium Economy to First, every detail has been rethought to offer a more relaxing, immersive and sensory journey. Fine materials, dynamic lighting, and sleek, consistent design are at the heart of this new cabin generation.

The entry of the A350 into the SWISS fleet also marks an evolution on the operational front. With its fuel efficiency and quiet operation, the new wide-body fits perfectly into the company's strategy for a more sustainable and modern fleet. The first example will enter service over the next few months, with strategic long-haul routes departing from Zurich.
With the Wanderlust livery and Senses cabins, SWISS is not only renewing its fleet, but also relaunching its commitment to Swiss innovation, style, and quality, staying true to its motto: "Made of Switzerland".
