Genoa and the Spain, in a few months, will be more neighbors. From December 5 Next, in fact, the new route will be active Genoa-Madrid operated by the Spanish low-cost airline Volotea.

They will be two weekly flights operated by the carrier, the Monday and the Friday: on Mondays, it takes off from "Cristoforo Colombo" at 1:20 p.m. and will arrive in the Spanish capital's airport after 2 hours and 15 minutes of flight time, at 3:35 p.m.; on Wednesdays, on the other hand, the departure from GOA is scheduled at 10:45 a.m., while the arrival in MAD is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The flights will be operated by Airbuses of the A320 family in Volotea's fleet.
"With the new connection to Madrid, we want to offer an additional, practical and direct option for those traveling to and from Genoa, especially during the winter months. It is a novelty that strengthens our presence at the airport and helps improve the area's international connectivity, while enhancing the Ligurian city's tourism potential to a dynamic market like Spain," commented Valeria Rebasti, International Market Director of Volotea.
