The televote is officially open and will be until August 29, we are talking about the Delta Airlines "Route Race" voting.. For the first time in its history, the U.S. company is letting travelers and employees decide which European destination will be the next to be served directly from the United States in the summer of 2026.
In this article:

Three beautiful Mediterranean islands are competing: Ibiza, Malta and ... our wonderful Sardinia.
And this is where our Italian pride comes in: Everyone's help is needed to bring Sardinia to the podium of international routes.
Why vote for Sardinia?
Why this is not just a competition between tourist destinations, is a concrete opportunity to bring A direct flight from the U.S. to a Sardinian airport., something that still does not exist today.
Making Sardinia win means. take advantage of the American dream of traveling to Italy to finally get us Sardinians (and Italians) a direct connection to the United States as well.
Every summer millions of American tourists invade Rome, Florence, Venice and the Amalfi Coast. But how many really know the wild and authentic beauty of Sardinia?
Getting Delta here means turning the spotlight on a region often excluded from major intercontinental flows, but capable of offering everything the traveler seeks: unspoiled sea, authentic villages, ancestral cuisine, majestic nature and true hospitality.
It also means. allow people living on the island, or in the rest of Italy, to reach the United States without having to go through Rome, Milan, Paris or Frankfurt.
How do you vote?

It is as simple as that:
- Download the official Delta Airlines app (if you don't already have it).
- Sign in or create a SkyMiles account (free).
- Go to the section "Explore" o "Trip".
- Select your preferred destination.
- Vote Sardinia.
You have until August 29, and every vote can really make a difference.
In conclusion
Let's share the link, involve friends, family, colleagues. Let's get the word out. The more votes that come in, the better chance we have of seeing a Delta plane land directly on Sardinian soil in less than a year.
