Marriott's lifestyle brand officially enters the all-inclusive world with a bold first opening: W Punta Cana, Adult All-Inclusive, opened on the beaches of the Dominican Republic. It is the W Hotels' first adults-only and all-inclusive property globally, a step that marks the beginning of a new chapter for the iconic brand born in 1998.

Those who often read the hotel reviews here on TFC will have noticed how I have a soft spot for this sign and have already stayed in many establishments from LA to Sydney, via the Middle East.
An out-of-the-box resort

W Punta Cana is not your classic all-inclusive: the concept has been reimagined as "W," with a mix of impactful design, signature gastronomy and immersive entertainment. The property counts 340 rooms and suites starting at 65 square meters, all with king-size bed, maxi bar and bathtub. Some solutions boast swim-up or private pools, a rare detail on the island.
The design is by Spanish firm Zanobia Arquitectura and recalls Caribbean colors, the national larimar stone, and the colonial history of the Dominican Republic, blending in with local nature and a green landscape with attention to detail.

The resort is developed on a beachfront of 400 meters and hosts the iconic WET Deck, an 80-meter-long infinity pool larger than an Olympic-size pool. For those seeking relaxation, there is the Chill Pool, with a poolside bar and a more intimate atmosphere.
Social life revolves around the Taman Beach Club, the Living Room Bar and an exclusive speakeasy, the 33 1/3, where creative cocktails and vinyl set the pace for the evenings.
Signature cuisine and mixology

With 12 restaurants and bars, the W Punta Cana takes the all-inclusive concept to a whole new level. From the food hall Trade Market with global street food inspirations, to Scene which offers contemporary Caribbean fine dining, not to mention the Asian Noodle Bar and a brewery-style taproom.
Entertainment and wellness
The program of events is curated by musician and producer Sinego in collaboration with Dominican collective Chinese Laundry: live concerts, silent disco on the beach, and DJ-led sound baths transform the stay into an ever-changing experience.
Wellness finds space in theAWAY Spa (10 cabins, sauna, steam room and indoor pool) and in a FIT Gym open 24 hours. There is no shortage of sunrise yoga and holistic rituals using local products such as moringa.
New Year's Eve in Paradise with Stitches
We dug up a real treat, at the time of writing this news, there is an opportunity to book a room at the minimum price with points in a very high season period. December 27 to January 1. Taking advantage of the fifth free night you only spend 548k Bonvoy points.
Outside the high season, the price in cash does not start from less than 600$ + taxes and surcharges and reaches, quickly even over 1000$.
A new era for W Hotels
With Punta Cana, W Hotels officially inaugurates the all-inclusive segment. The roadmap already includes new openings in Playa del Carmen (2028) e Costa Mujeres (2029), consolidating the brand's presence in high-end leisure destinations. For Italian frequent flyers, it means being able to live the W experience in a version "all-inclusive, but outside the box", in one of the most popular Caribbean destinations and well connected from Europe.
