I have never hidden the fact that one of my favorite benefits, when it comes to hotel chain loyalty programs, Both guaranteed late check-out at 4 p.m..
In this article:
The second benefit, however, that drives me to pursue the "hunt" for status is that I suffer tremendously when I am a guest in chains where I do not have this benefit Is access to the lounge.

The reason is simple, for me this optional extra is worth the peace of mind of having an environment where I can work, where I meet clients and friends, where I feed my daughter before going out to dinner, or where I myself often eat while saving a lot of money on my business trips. And today I am happy to talk about a small but important innovation in the Marriott Bonvoy house.
Who has free access in the lounges of Marriott hotels.

I explained it in great detail in the article where I summarize all the rules of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, but in short it's about a benefit that in this chain is automatically triggered when you book an Executive room or when you have the Platinum level or higher.

Each facility has different rules for hours, services, and rules within the lounge. In general, however, it is easy to expect that they all offer breakfast, snack and evening happy hour. Of course, if you go to Asia there are lounges that look like real masterpieces such as the one at the JW Tomorrow Square in Shanghai or of the Bangkok Marriott Marquis, but even in the rest of the world it is hard to be disappointed, such as in Buenos Aires.
The novelty

The small but important change is that now in the filters that can be set in the search on Marriott's site there is the possibility to select the Elite Member Lounge item. Doing so will give the possibility to search only and exclusively among these facilities, excluding from the results hotels that do not offer this service.

Mind you, this does not mean that you will automatically have access to the lounge, nor does it mean that "excluded" hotels do not have a lounge, since the reference is specifically to elite member-accessible lounges and not to other solutions that hotels might offer. For example, W Hotels usually do not have an Elite Member Lounge, but almost always have a lounge bar in them.
In conclusion
Simplifying life, improving the user experience when booking is a way of increasing guest loyalty, and with this simple but important innovation Marriott has improved the lives of all of us frequent customers.
