After months of work, the lounge at Bologna's "Guglielmo Marconi" airport has reopened. The VIP lounge, closed from May 26 to mid-September 2025, back available on schedule with a new manager and updated services.
New management entrusted to Prima Vista Lounges
In this article:
The lounge is now managed by Prima Vista Lounges, an Aviapartner Group brand already operating in Rome Fiumicino, Cagliari and, as of June 2025, Palermo. The assignment covers both restyling and day-to-day management. Aeroporto di Bologna also confirmed employment continuity for its existing staff.

Services offered in the Bologna lounge
La Prima Vista Lounge Bologna is located on the second floor of the terminal, before the security checkpoints, and is open daily from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm. Among the services included:
- Fast Track Access at security checks
- Free Wi-Fi
- Relaxation area with buffet and cafeteria
- Showers available for guests
- Meeting room for business travelers
- Digital newspapers and magazines

How to access
They can enter:
- ticketed passengers in Business Class;
- Frequent flyer card holders with elite status;
- members of circuits such as Dragon Pass e Lounge Key;
- who buys direct admission to 40 euro (maximum 3 hours, free for children under 2 years old).
According to the airport's official website, entry to the new lounge should also be allowed to holders of Priority Pass. In practice, however, this is currently not the case: some of our readers have reported to us that they were not admitted by showing their cards.
We made direct verifications and the situation is confirmed. In fact, at the time of the opening of the lounge, the PP circuit had not yet finalized the agreement for access for its members.
The good news is that this is a temporary condition: we have been confirmed that the problem will be resolved shortly and travelers with Priority Passes will be able to access normally, as expected.
The return of the Fast Track in Bologna
During the summer shutdown, the suspension of Fast Track had created quite a few inconveniences: for three months the fast track gate was reserved only for Business Class and elite status, excluding frequent flyers with Priority Passes and discount cards, who accessed it through the lounge.
With the reopening, service is back to normal. Card and season-ticket holders can also once again access the fast-track route at the checkpoints, a real benefit especially during peak hours when queues at Bologna Airport can get heavy.
