The upcoming winter season, starting on October 26, 2025 and ending on March 28, 2026, marks an important step forward for KLM.
In this article:
The Dutch company will come to serve 161 destinations worldwide, including as many as 69 intercontinental, with an overall capacity growth of 6% over last year. Amsterdam thus confirms itself as a central hub for people starting in Europe and seeking connections to major long-haul destinations.
New destinations and increased frequencies
The real news is that the intercontinental network is being enriched with new routes and enhanced frequencies. Hyderabad in India and San Diego in California debut, while Barbados returns, this time combined with Georgetown in Guyana.
Flights to destinations popular with the Italian market also increase significantly: Bangkok increases to ten weekly frequencies, the same goes for Delhi and Panama City, while Curaçao touches eleven weekly connections. Cape Town, another long-haul classic, is served for the first time eleven times a week, and there are also increases for destinations such as Boston, Miami, San Francisco, São Paulo, and Lima.
Needless to say, more routes and more frequencies also means a greater chance of finding award seats using Flying Blue points.
