Fantastic news at Lufthansa, now if you sleep in Marriott, Miles&More status is closer

I have been saying this for a long time, Marriott has an edge when it comes to partnerships and lately, given the Hilton Honors absconding, even in promotions.

And this new partnership with the Lufthansa Group loyalty program is just such a testimony, which is also important for all Italian travelers.

A really interesting double dipping

The news arrived in the email inboxes of all Miles&More subscribers today, and it's just as good as the historic partnership that binds Bonvoy to Emirates Skywards program, Indeed in some ways it is even more beautiful.

I do not understand how it is possible that the news spread only today if on the official page we talk about a promotion that has been active since August 1 and is valid until a date to be determined.

Loyalty program members Miles&More can earn 40 Points Miles & More For each qualifying stay of at least 2 consecutive nights. And each subscriber has the opportunity to accumulate up to 120 Points per year, useful for accelerating the achievement or maintenance of the frequent flyer status.

In practice more than 1/3 of the points needed to obtain FTL status, or 1/10 of those needed for the Senator card can be accumulated by making 3 stays, totaling a minimum of 6 nights at any Marriott hotel in Italy or the rest of the world.

Conversely, the members Senator e HON Circle automatically receive the Marriott status Bonvoy Gold Elite, objectively they could also be wasted a little bit more and certainly this is the least WOW part of the partnership.

A journey worth double

For the first time, those staying in Marriott hotels not only earn classic hotel program miles and points, but can also move closer to the next Miles & More level. Simply register, link the two accounts, and select Miles & More as your accumulation preference.

During the summer promotion (August 1 - November 30, 2025 for stays booked by September 23), members will receive 6 miles for every dollar spent, plus up to 2 extra miles if they chose Miles & More as an earning option in the Marriott profile.

Terms and conditions

Almost all brands in the Marriott group are included in the partnership, including: AC Hotels, Aloft, Moxy, Courtyard, Delta Hotels, Sheraton, Marriott Hotels, Westin, Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, JW Marriott, Le Méridien, W Hotels, Renaissance, Autograph Collection, Edition, Design Hotels, Gaylord Hotels, Tribute Portfolio and others.

The partnership is jointly offered by Marriott Bonvoy and Miles & More. Only active members of both programs with an account in good standing may participate.

Participation requirements

You must register and link the two accounts (first and last names must match). Once disconnected, the accounts cannot be reconnected.

Status advantages

Senator and HON Circle members automatically obtain Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status for at least 12 months.
The status is activated within 48 hours of registration.
It is not applicable if the member already holds a higher status or has Gold Elite with an expiration date later than the benefit.
The Gold Elite obtained through the partnership cannot be added to other requirements to gain access to higher levels.

Accumulation Points

"Joint" members earn 40 Miles & More Points for each qualifying stay (at least 2 consecutive nights).
It is possible to accumulate up to 120 Points per year.
Points are in addition to regular Marriott Bonvoy points or Miles & More miles.
