The best airport in Europe Has become a little more welcoming. Yesterday, without wasting time on unnecessary ribbon cutting, the first new lounge at Terminal 1 opened its doors.
In this article:
The official opening will come in the next few weeks, but for now it was needed to give breathing space to the other halls, put to the test by the last days of the peak season.

As anticipated by TFC, the first lounge opened is déjà vu: Prima Vista.

The new Aviapartner lounge covers 610 sq. m., with spacious and modern spaces designed for passengers. It is also the first hall in the terminal with a direct view of the runway.
Inside there are lounge areas for relaxation and vip room, as well as equipped work areas, phone booths and meeting rooms. A quantum leap not only from the current Prima Vista-which will close soon-but also from other lounges throughout the airport.

As early as yesterday afternoon, several readers wrote to me (and sent photos) to point out the good work of AdR and Aviapartner, which manages to do better than even what was offered at T3.

The lounge is located on the top floor of the new T1, and I'm willing to bet it will become the busiest: strategically located near the new gates, a view of the runway, ample space, and full amenities.
For an actual review I will have to wait to try it, but from the pictures the leap forward from the rooms currently available at T1 is evident.
Upcoming news coming soon

The "old" Prima Vista will be closed soon. It is not yet clear whether the spaces will be used to expand the Plaza Premium - complicated assumption since they are separated by public toilets-or for other projects.

In a few weeks umarells will have to move elsewhere: whether the timeline will be met, ITA Airways Hangar Lounge expansion work will end. and the second new lounge, also at T1, will also open in early October.

So far there are no rumors about the operator, But it is certain that it will not be a Centurion Lounge. American Express always announces its openings well in advance, and the only European novelty is expected in Amsterdam by 2026.
In conclusion

With over 1,000 square meters of new lounges and the end of the high season, the emergency should return. But at FCO they cannot let their guard down: traffic continues to increase, More and more companies are betting on this airport And premium passengers are growing, in addition to those enrolled in programs "all you can visit" airport lounges..
