Lounges bloom in Italy in September, after the opening of the new Prima Vista in Fiumicino., and waiting for the one in Bologna, Yesterday was the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Aspire in Venice, the new Marco Polo lounge.
In this article:
The new lounge is the result of a solution-oriented collaboration between airport operator SAVE S.p.A. and Swissport cin the goal of improving the passenger experience at Venice Marco Polo Airport, This is a flexible, temporary and testing project that adds valuable space for relaxation and comfort.
New lounge, pre-checks in Venice
Swissport Aspire Executive Lounges makes its entry into Italy with the opening of a new lounge at Venice Marco Polo Airport. This is a temporary concept, but with clear ambitions: to meet the growing demand for exclusive spaces and lay the groundwork for future openings in other Italian airports.
The lounge, developed together with the SAVE Group, is located on the second floor above check-in counters 28-48, before security checks: a location that makes it accessible not only to departing or arriving passengers, but also to those who want to use the airport as a business hub.
With its 330 m² and 73 seats, the environment is designed to offer comfort and functionality: fast Wi-Fi, work stations, private meeting rooms, as well as food & beverage offerings that enhance local flavors and sustainable supply chains. Also included in the price of admission is quick access to security screening (for non-U.S.-bound flights), so you can turn your time at the airport into a stress-free experience.
Thanks to its location, it can also be enjoyed in arrival lounge mode, a peculiarity not at all popular in our country, which allows those arriving in Venice to take advantage of the services simply by showing the boarding pass of the flight they came from.
"The new lounge was created to meet the needs of modern, fluid and connected mobility," explains Ilaria Grandin, SAVE's nonaviation commercial manager. "It is a space designed as much for the business traveler as it is for those who want to start or end their trip in a relaxed environment."

For Swissport, this opening represents a strategic step.
"We are proud to inaugurate our first lounge in Italy, a market in which we also want to grow in ground services, cargo and executive aviation," stresses Marina Bottelli, CEO of Swissport Italy. "We have already begun negotiations with other airports and expect to replicate the Aspire model elsewhere soon."
