We could summarize it in one sentence: the time has come to say goodbye. After well 26 years of honored service, the company Condor is preparing to say goodbye to his last Boeing 757-300: Thus ends, in effect, the Boeing era in the leisure carrier's fleet. Great stories, however, deserve an epilogue worthy of the name : the plane's retirement, therefore, will be celebrated with a special flight.

Farewell, Boeing 757-300: last flight will be Nov. 5
For av geeks, the next November 5, 2025 will be a date to remember: on that day Condor will carry out the "farewell flight" of his latest B757 Frankfurt to Vienna; certainly a short route-if not very short, considering that it is only 336 nautical miles-but highly charged with significance. Once landed in Vienna, participants will take part in an event celebrating the Boeing 757; on the return, however, the flight will host what Condor called "the highest party in the world."

"With the farewell of the Boeing 757, an era closes for Condor," said Christian Schmitt, Chief Operations Officer of the company. "But at the same time a new chapter opens with a more modern, efficient and sustainable Airbus fleet. Our farewell flight combines nostalgia with an optimistic look towards the future, represented by our final destination: Vienna."

As this is a commemorative flight that is as special as it is exclusive, Condor decided to auction off as many as 75 tickets: To participate in the auction, which will be triggered on September 22, ed. simply log on to the carrier's online shop.
Condor's Boeing 757 will continue to fly until November
Seventy-five tickets, it is clear, is a small number. Those who will not be able to attend the farewell flight, however, need not worry: until early November they will still have the opportunity to fly on Condor's latest Boeing 757-300. As the company explains in a press note, there are currently 7 B757s still operational and until November will continue to connect the airports of Frankfurt e Düsseldorf with major Mediterranean tourist destinations such as Palma de Mallorca, Hurghada, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria. The very last scheduled flights are scheduled for October 29 (Düsseldorf - Palma - Düsseldorf) and November 2 (Frankfurt - Hurghada - Frankfurt).

It has been a long history between Condor and the Boeing 757
Condor has been a major player in the (long) history of the Boeing 757-300. In 1996, in fact, the carrier ordered 12 examples during the Farnborough Air Show and 3 years later became the launch customer of the model. Since then, the 757 has become a mainstay of the company's medium-range fleet, flying millions and millions of nautical miles and transporting generations of German vacationers to sunnier destinations. To this day, as mentioned, Condor still flies with 7 specimens of B757-300s, which have a'average age of nearly 26 years; the interior configuration includes a single class - economy - consisting of 275 seats.

We were so loved but...the future is Airbus
The retirement of the Boeing 757, it is clear, represents a Natural step in the process of fleet modernization of Condor. The carrier's long-haul fleet, in fact, currently consists of 18 Airbus A330neo aircraft (an additional four were ordered just two months ago); as for the short- and medium-haul fleet, however, the carrier will receive 43 new A320neo aircraft by 2029. In short, the love affair with Boeing has been as long as it has been good; now, however, it is time to turn the page. As they say, "for every ending there is a new beginning." The future, then, is Airbus.
