This summer I was interviewed by a reporter from CN Traveler and Wired US, not quite two country blogs. The subject of the interview was my passion (and my reviews) of the amenity kits I find aboard airplanes and give away to TFC readers in our monthly quizzes.
In this article:

Mitch Moxley, the journalist who wrote the article titled "Come for the Amenity Kits, Stay for the Flight", came to me after discovering through Google my ranking of best first class amenity kits I published last year.
In each of my reviews there is a chapter devoted to this "gift" that companies offer to their passengers: for me they are an attraction, and I must say that if I do not receive it or if qualitatively I am not satisfied, I am disappointed.

One year after the first published ranking, it seems right to draw up a new one, but this time dedicated to business class, the one where it is also easier to travel than the First class, always alive but increasingly unreachable.
So here is my personal ranking of the best and worst amenity kits I have received in the last 12 months or so.
The 5 best business class amenity kits
Some offer pajamas even in business (see Air India or Qatar) and some don't even give you slippers. In short, you can find everything on board the various carriers. For me, the content is important, but so is the container: reusing clutch bags is an added value.
#5 Qatar

The best company in the world would deserve a higher evaluation, but is its policy that "pulls down" the ranking. The products are of a high standard, but the problem is that on flights not out of Doha, no real amenity kit is given, only the box.
In contrast, if you leave from Doha you always have nice reusable clutches.
#4 Turkish Airlines
Two aesthetically different products and two distinct men's/women's versions. Although the variety is not comparable to EK's, the Turkish company's proposal deserves to be in this ranking.
#3 Air India

The new Air India is the one proudly sporting A350s. that had been ordered and configured by Aeroflot. Internally, he did not touch any of the hardware, but he definitely focused on the soft product to make a name for himself.
The double envelope is elegant, Ferragamo products. excellent and the pajamas are the touch that confirms that if you want to, you can.
#2 Saudia
Saudia's amenity kit would have deserved to win without any discussion, but the limited edition is no longer distributed and has been replaced by a more "basic" version, though still of higher quality than many other companies. In my personal collection it is the one I am most jealous of.
#1 Emirates
On these things no one beats Emirates: Is the best in first class as it is in business class. Two different products depending on the sex of the passenger, useful content and large BVLGARI products. The clutch bag is beautiful to look at and reusable in everyday life. Every time I board EK, I hope to find a special edition or a different version from last time.
The 5 worst amenity kits
#5 Singapore Airlines

Singapore recently tried to get off the list of the worst. Sure, the new amenity kit is better than the previous one, but it is still an aesthetically weak product. It must be admitted: the products are of excellent quality, but the size is really perfumery tester.
#4 Virgin Atlantic
When the drift of greenwashing takes a wrong turn. The hottest airline in the world, the one with the most interesting lounges (almost) of all, comes up with an offer that leaves you speechless - but in a negative way. The Goodie Bag hasn't been updated in four years and is a real "stain" on Virgin Atlantic's CV.
#3 Finnair

#2 Lufthansa
The German company would also deserve to finish in the other ranking, but the problem is that the alternation between products sometimes leaves one dismayed. If you are lucky, it is aesthetically beautiful; other times it is not, while the content is really basic.
One reader, when I critiqued this clutch bag, wrote that it is perfect for liquids to be extracted at checkpoints-pity that, where it is still required to do so, it is not considered such.
#1 Air China

Junk plastic, low-quality content: they look like pieces taken at random and put inside a really unexciting clutch bag.
In conclusion
For me, they are collectibles, but also to be reused.
For example, Finnair's envelope is always with me as a card holder, adapters, and small minutiae. Saudia's has been my clutch bag for years., until it was replaced from TFC's official clutch bag, which can be found - of course - in our store.
