Wizz Air announces a new route that will connect Rome Fiumicino with Bratislava (BTS) as of March 16, 2026. The link will be operational everyday and will be carried out with Airbus A321neo, new generation aircraft that provide reduced fuel consumption and improved efficiency. Tickets are already available at wizzair.com and via the company's official app. The introduction of the new flight further expands travel options for Italian passengers and strengthens the carrier's presence at the Roman airport.
A new connection for central Europe
The new route connects Rome to the capital of the Slovakia, a destination with historical and architectural charm, overlooking the Danube and known for its medieval castle and the pedestrian historic center. Strategically located, Bratislava is located less than an hour from Vienna and is an ideal base for exploring Central Europe, with rail and road connections to Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

Fiumicino and the growth of Wizz Air
The announcement comes just weeks after the introduction of the 14th Rome-based aircraft and by the addition of five new routes for London, Malaga, Sharm El-Sheikh, Valencia and Podgorica.
