All that was missing was this agreement to seal ITA Airways' final farewell to the Skyteam world, now that there is a closing date for the historic relationship, first with Alitalia and then for ITA's brief interlude: on November 15, the two loyalty programs will part ways.
In this article:
We had it written just in the past few weeks, As one after another, they skipped chords survivors of ITA's exit from the alliance Of which he has been a member since 2021.

What changes after November 15
ITA Airways and Flying Blue, the loyalty program of Air France and KLM, will end their partnership on November 15, 2025. Until that date, all benefits provided will remain in effect, but thereafter Flying Blue members will will no longer be able to earn Miles on flights marketed and operated by ITA Airways (code AZ), nor use the Miles to book award tickets with the Italian airline.
Instead, they will continue to earn points on flights marketed by Air France or KLM and operated by ITA Airways, while Elite benefits-such as lounge access, priority boarding or seat choice-. will no longer be recognized.
Flying Blue members who wish to use their Miles on ITA Airways flights should do so. by November 15, 2025, date by which prize tickets must be issued.
These tickets will remain valid for travel until the November 15, 2026, but any changes will only be possible until the partnership end date. After that time, changes will not be accepted by ITA Airways and members will need to book new flights with other Flying Blue partners, subject to availability and fare differences.
Accordingly, from that date, Members of the Volare program will no longer be able to earn points on flights operated by Air France KLM, all other frequent flyer benefits associated with this partnership will also be suspended as of November 15, 2025.
A relationship that never really came into being
In these 5 years of participation in Skyteam, the relationship between the two carriers has been more of a front, frequent flyers being bounced from ITA lounges even though they were Flying Blue card holders, until the "kicked out" for space reasons of ITA passengers from the lounge at JFK.
Now it's goodbye for good, and I'm willing to bet that new status match opportunities will pop up in the weeks following the end of the relationship for their respective frequent flyers.
