Prima Vista did it again: the new lounge at T1 is really nice, though....

At about two months after opening I was finally able to visit the new Prima Vista lounge at Fiumicino Terminal 1, the second at this terminal and the third in total in Rome.
In this article:
Sooner or later the "old" lounge is supposed to close, but at the time of writing this review it is still operating (and often sold out) so I highly recommend visiting this one.

We are located at the root of the pier that houses gates 31/52, that is, the newest area among those opened after the works that completely renovated T1.

The entrance might seem a bit hidden, but the situation will improve when the direct connection to the food court.

When you get to the front of the elevators, just go up to the second floor-the doors open directly in front of the lounge entrance.
Access
Like all independent lounges, is open to everyone-or almost everyone.

You can enter with Priority Pass (Amex), LoungeKey (Revolut) and other "all you can visit" cards. There are also agreements with some airlines, and ultimately you can pay for admission (not recommended option).
The lounge

I had already seen some photos provided by ADR the opening day, but I didn't think it was so beautiful. Of course, I would have preferred to visit it at 6 a.m., empty and uncluttered, perfect for photos - but I still hope to make the point.

First of all, it is great, the most spacious in T1, and this helps solve one of the main limitations of this terminal's lounges.

È bright, because it is the only T1 lounge with windows open to the outside of the airport.
È elegant, in the same refined style as the Prima Vista lounge at T3, which I still consider the best (independent) in Rome. Beautiful lounges, excellent quasi-VIP area overlooking the fingers, and even more beautiful the bar counter.

Somewhat sacrificed, however, is the area along the windows-I would say the least successful part of the lounge.

I would have added a couple of phone booth to isolate and work in peace and quiet - here the space was there, and no seats would be sacrificed.
Food & Beverage
This is the only point that deserves improvement.

The bar counter, with dedicated bartender, is well stocked and scenic.
Disappointing, however, is thegastronomic offer, really poor, at least judging from what was proposed around 1 p.m. on the day of my visit.

From this point of view it is probably the less generous Fiumicino lounge, but some might say I demand too much.
In conclusion
More little known, thus less crowded.

For a cappuccino or a quick snack is perfect, but also to work in a quiet environment with runway view It is definitely worth a visit.

Pro
- Runway view
- Generous spaces
- Design
Against
- Gastronomic proposal can be improved
- Lack of isolated work zones
