Hilton crosses a historic milestone: the group has just opened its 9,000th hotel in the world, confirming an impressive pace of growth with an average of nearly three new openings a day over the past year.
A "historic" hotel

The record was achieved with the opening of the Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa, a luxurious resort located in Texas. The property, the result of a high-end conversion, counts 496 rooms - including 34 boutique villas and one floor reserved for adults-all decorated in a style inspired by the nature and culture of the Texas Hill Country.
With this opening, Hilton further enriches its collection of luxury and lifestyle hotels, which has passed the threshold of 1,000 worldwide. In 2025 alone, the group has already signed over 200 new facilities in this category.
Hilton grows globally
In recent months, the American giant has hit several strategic targets:
- exceeded 6,000 hotels operating in the United States and the 100 in Italy (mainly due to the entry of SLH facilities)
- over 1,000 active hotels in Asia-Pacific And as many in Europe, the Middle East and Africa
- ambitious projects in the pipeline: tenfold presence in India, triple in Africa, and quadruple in Saudi Arabia.
In total, there are already more than 3,600 hotels under development, a sign of still very strong demand from owners toward Hilton brands.
"Reaching 9,000 hotels is a testament to the strength of our brands and the trust placed in us by partners and travelers around the world," said Christian Charnaux, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Hilton.
With these numbers, the group is already looking ahead to the next milestone: Surpass 10,000 hotels within a few years.
