A few days ago, But I just found out about it thanks to a tip from a TFC reader, American Express has launched a promotion to convert Membership Rewards points toward the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program with a bonus of 30%.
Conversion bonus from Membership Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy
In this article:
Until 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2026, each transfer of Membership Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy will entitle the recipient to a bonus of Marriott Bonvoy points equal to 30% of the transferred Membership Rewards points.
A minimum of 5 Membership Rewards points up to a maximum of 999,995 points (in increments of 5 points or multiples) is required to make a Membership Rewards points transfer to your Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program account.

Please note that Marriott Bonvoy only accepts one point transfer per day. Therefore, multiple transfers on the same day are not possible.
Bonus will be visible in your Marriott Bonvoy® account within eight weeks of the close of the initiative and will be credited by Marriott Bonvoy. Marriott Bonvoy bonus points do not count toward elite level qualification.
In conclusion
A year later, a new American Express bonus returns to incentivize point transfers from Membership Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy, it's just too bad Amex doesn't do these activities with airlines, which it does Revolut during 2025 has already done several times.
