We anticipated this in recent days: ITA Airways is renovating the interiors of its planes. Just over two years after entering service, AZ has decided to remedy what the same CEO of the company called "the original sin": the clear interior.
In this article:

In recent days, after a downtime of more than seven months, the A320neo brands EI-INA, named after Giacinto Facchetti, has returned to flight.
The cause of the grounding is common to all carriers using aircraft equipped with engines from the Pratt & Whitney GTF Family - Geared Turbo Fan. In fact, the premature aging of some components forces companies to perform maintenance that lasts no less than six months per engine.
ITA then took advantage of the stop to renovate the interior as well, intervening on those details that had caused several problems.
What has changed on board

To an absent-minded or casual passenger, the new features might slip by, but those who fly frequently in AZ's new fleet will notice some differences immediately as soon as they step on board.

The color shades remain as originally chosen by ITA, but the finish changes. The big news is the beige carpet replacement under the seats with a carpet of the same color as the aisle, matching the seats.
The result is an environment that is perhaps less elegant, but definitely more functional: the darker color is in fact much more effective in hiding dirt from the daily passage of hundreds of passengers.
Renewal underway across the entire fleet

The "small" detail of the carpet, as well as the the fabric interior being replaced with faux leather, will on the one hand allow easier handling by maintenance and on the other hand will give a greater perception of cleanliness to the passenger. This work is being planned on ITA's entire "new" fleet, the problem is timing: between vehicles stopped in maintenance and machines that have to fly nonstop, it will not be easy to find slots for such an operation.
In conclusion
They are flying the first ITA cars with renovated interiors, no more light-colored carpeting and no more cloth in the seats, so the company hopes to better manage the appearance and cleanliness of the planes.
