The route will be operated with the A380 configured in three classes, with a total of 517 places (8 in First, 48 in Business and 461 in Economy). The affected flights are. QR 948/QR 949, departing in the evening from Doha and returning overnight from Singapore, replacing the Boeing 777-300ER now employed on the same route.

The Doha-based carrier has been gradually bringing its A380s back into the fleet in response to increased demand on high-density routes. The introduction on the Singapore route marks a new step in the reuse of the four-engine aircraft, which seemed destined for permanent retirement in 2020.
