Review Piranesi lounge, the waiting room you don't expect at Milan Linate

I have no idea why I took 5 years before reviewing the 4th, and last, lounge at Milan Linate, probably because until today I had never needed to use it or more simply because, if there are rooms after security checks, I don't see the reason to wait here instead of in those in the sterile area.
In this article:

But then today, after the vicissitudes of Genoa and the canceled flights, two of us arrived at Linate, and my traveling companion had to ship the luggage and so we had to wait for check-in to open and then, "Idea, let's go to Piranesi."
Location

The hall is located at the opposite end of the yard from the metro station, that is, near the ITA Airways check-in counters. This is also a reason why I have not visited this lounge before.

Always arriving by car and checking in online, I did not remember going through the ITA counters at Linate; in fact, the last time had been at the opening of the Italian airline's Runway Lounge.
Access

I have no idea whether he has agreements with companies, certainly si can gain access using Priority Pass And that's what my partner in misfortune and I did.
The lounge

It is a small open space. As soon as the doors open there are check-in desks, like the ones that used to be at Linate. Today, however, baggage could not be checked in, so those who thought they would use it to obviate the opening of check-in will be disappointed.
To the left of the reception area is the buffet area, while on the opposite side is the lounge reserved for Club Sea members, a product I have never mentioned partly because, honestly, I have never delved into the benefits.
There are about 30 seats, the furniture is that of the old Leonardo room, and in some ways they just look like mismatched chairs, as if they were stockpiled (or is that a deliberate aesthetic choice), like when my daughter's school has a "mismatched" day.

I don't think it's ever crowded and I think it mainly serves people who are in our situation: you've checked in but you have to check in your luggage, because vice versa if you don't have your boarding pass you don't get in; if you don't have luggage to check in you go through the checkpoints and go to the other airport lounges.
Food & Beverage
The buffet is a reduced selection of what you get at Leonardo and actually I don't think you need much else. You just have to survive comfortably enough to be able to then get through the screening and refresh yourself in the post screening lounges.
What is always above average in SEA lounges is the drinking. Here there are still cans, real and varied, which has often disappeared around the world in favor of tappers that make everything flat and equal.
In conclusion

It has its own utility, and today I appreciated it for that, it's just too bad that you can't check in like in the Bergamo lounge anymore. Certainly it could use a refresh. A question for those who attend it, but does it also function as an arrival lounge?
