I spent over half a million miles (in 12h) : March 17, AF4 flight will be the TFCmobile

Do you remember the challenge I launched at the beginning of the year?

In the last 24h we have come to the point and After laboriously recovering all the "chosen ones" and confronted each other, we have, or perhaps rather have, defined the outlines of what will be a full-fledged Nuiorchean expedition.

The beauty of community

I must admit that what the "fantastic 6" have decided has heartened me greatly, at a time when some anonymous characters enjoy the misfortunes at others and poison some of the circles that over the years have allowed many to approach the world of miles and points.

Seeing 6 strangers deciding in tune and helping each other was the greatest reward of this initiative.

Initially I had thought of using only the treasury obtained from the SAS challenge, but I finally broke my Flying Blue piggy bank instead.. Too great an amount of award seats available in the French/Dutch loyalty program, too varied the needs of the six travelers, and since as usual it is always (and only) my own flour and there is no airline sponsorship of any kind, I opted for the easy way out.

1. The desire to experience it together. They all chose to travel, at least on the outward journey, together-a way to share the experience at 100% with il Barbone.
2. The desire to leave no one behind. As known I had promised to give away 2 A/R tickets in business, premium economy and economy. And the choice of my 6 companions was beautiful: in order to all have a unique experience they decided to "break" the tickets. This way 4 of them will do at least one leg in business, while 2 will do A/R in premium economy.
3. Freedom of travel. Some will leave from Las Vegas, some will pop over to Canada, some will stay 10 days, and some will bring their girlfriends. Everyone has had a chance to plan their return according to their own needs.
4. Freedom to share. One of the travelers decided to give up his business class ticket to bring his brother into the experience as well, and so from 6 we became 7 (Barbone excluded).

Whoever wants to, can join

Right now, as can be seen above, there are still seats left to fly with us in all cabins and at really attractive prices: economy is also among the monthly offerings. When we arrive at our destination, everyone can do whatever they want, but I think with our group we will go for a nice meal, maybe at Peter Luger's in "broccolino."

There won't be a place to steal from Barbone (spoiler alert: I will be flying economy), But who knows, there might be an urge to go crazy.: a trip to New York with virtual travel companions who, for once, will become real. As did the Tuscans who came all the way to Florence earlier in the week to have a meal with friends.

How much did I spend

This is my Flying Blue account statement for the last 24h, of course as always you have to add the relevant taxes and surcharges that come with each award ticket. A couple of tickets, for the return trips, I took using miles from other programs to meet the demands of each participant in this trip across the ocean.

In conclusion

March 17 aboard the 777/300, one of those where it is La Première's new cabin is also present, there will be a minimum of 9 members of our community on board. This is not a mistake: I am sure there will be 9 of us because there are already those who have told me they will join our trip.

And to all those who enjoy belittling our success stories I say, "Who knows where your points will take you: hopefully far away, as we will, or even farther."
