Qantas also flies to Italy thanks to the Rome-Perth seasonal connection, But in our market does not offer First Class: The Australian carrier's flagship cabin is available only on routes operated with A380s and, in Europe, the only destination served in First is London, via Singapore.
In this article:
And it is precisely on the routes operated by the superjumbo-not only to the United Kingdom, but also to the United States, South Africa, and Asia-that the airline is introducing a major revamp of the onboard experience.
A complete upgrade of First Class
Beginning in December, First's passengers will find a series of improvements involving gastronomy, wellness, and personal amenities. The project stems from in-flight tests and analysis of actual customer experience. One of the most notable elements is the possibility for First passengers to eat when they want, with a true "dine on demand" service.
For those departing from Australia, the new menu includes recipes from Restaurant Margaret, curated by chef and Creative Director Food & Beverage Qantas Neil Perry.
Among the dishes introduced:
- Yellowfin tuna tartare With gochujang, toasted sesame and baby cos
- Roast Wollemi Duck With orange caramel, crispy Chinese vegetables and jasmine rice
- Margra lamb chops Breaded with fennel, pine nuts, arugula and salsa verde
- Grand Turin Cake of Verona with Amaretto and roasted almonds
All accompanied by selected Australian wines and an important novelty: the presence of Bollinger La Grande Année 2015, served together with Pommery Cuvée Louise 2006.
Aesop as amenity kit: finally a detail that matters
Among the most interesting new features is the debut of the new Aesop kits.

Those who travel often in premium cabin are familiar with the Australian brand-essential, refined, recognizable. And here I say it openly: I have been a fan of Aesop for years, so seeing this partnership expand is a detail I appreciate more than the average passenger.

Kits include:
- Aesop Resurrection Hand Balm
- Rinse-Free Hand Wash
- Cedar & Citrus Lip Balm
- Toothpaste
- Eau de Parfum
- Premium eye mask
- Bamboo toothbrush
- Earplugs
Also new are the pajamas navy designed by Qantas and the loafer style slippers, designed to improve comfort on long flights.
In conclusion
An approach that looks directly at Project Sunrise, when Qantas will launch extra-long-haul flights. to Europe and the United States, where rest on board will become critical. And where Qantas' new first-class cabin will also be featured., a ticket that one can bet will have a "stellar" cost.
